FAQ:

  • I need to do my TCC and I would love to talk about PANC, can you help me?
Of course!!Through PANCS Brasil, several students collected information. From nutrition students to gastronomy, to biology and chemistry students.Feel free to get in touch through our channels. But to get you ahead, we recommend REFLORA, the largest catalog of national flora, published by the Instituto de Pesquisas Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro :)
  • How do I identify a PANC?
Often, a photo is not enough to identify a plant species. It takes more than an image! Its texture, tonality, opacity, smell, seeds, fruits, flowers, roots, veins... in short, there are a multitude of variables that allow us to clearly identify whether a plant is edible or not.If you have just started in the world of PANC, I recommend seeking help from people close to you who understand a little about plants. They could be your grandmother, your aunt, your teacher, the farmer at the fair.We lose this proximity with plants when we leave the countryside, when we change the backyard of a house for the apartment window. So, asking those who have or had this contact is the best way to start! And if this person doesn't know the term PANC, no problem, ask them which plants they used to eat and which they no longer find in the supermarket or at the fair. Ask if they can help you get to know some of them ;)I'm sure this is the best start!
  • I have a photo of a plant here, can you help me identify it?
Identification of plants through images is not always possible. There are many variables such as texture, tonality, opacity, smell, seeds, fruits, flowers, roots, veins... In short, there is an infinity of information that allows us to clearly identify whether a plant is edible or not.< /p> Even so, you can send us your photo! Through our group of PANC lovers, we try to do our best to identify them! Send us more information through our channels.
